Leuchtturm List-West is a lighthouse located near Kampen on the island of Sylt in Germany. It is one of two lighthouses on the island, with its counterpart being Leuchtturm List-Ost. Built in the mid-19th century, specifically in 1857, List-West is one of the oldest lighthouses in the region. The lighthouse was constructed to aid in navigation along the North Sea coast, a crucial task given the treacherous waters and shifting sands in the area. The structure itself is relatively modest in height, standing at about 11 meters (approximately 36 feet), but it is situated on a dune, which elevates its light to a focal height of around 20 meters (about 66 feet) above sea level.
