I was found with a male springer companion (Morgan) in a small beach town that was demolished after the eye of Katrina passed through it. Two weeks after the hurricane, a lady found us wandering the area and took us in. She kept us for 2 months while she advertised but could not find our family. Since then, Morgan and I have had several homes from good samaritans who tried to take care of us but for one reason or another, could not. We finally ended up with a lady who groomed and boarded rescues and she cleaned us up and removed the ticks and fleas. Well I felt so much better after a bath and plenty to eat. The groomer finally located ESRA. Yeah! Morgan and I were finally truly rescued. Because we were not given heartworm preventatives for at least 7 months, we were both heartworm positive, underweight, and had eye infections. My foster mom groomed and bathed me and under that matted and sun bleached hair, she found the most beautiful liver and white coat you have ever seen! Since I have been in foster care, I have shown that I like other dogs and people, I'm well mannered and know the sit command and not to jump on people. Now I am up to date on all my shots and crate trained and heartworm free. I am one beautiful lady!! Plus I am very sweet and am looking for a home where I can be the best companion ever!!
