Age: 2 years Gender: Male Color: Liver/White Weight: 45 lbs. Variety: Bench/Show-bred Patches is a sweet, obedient boy who likes to cuddle. He is a good example of how important foster care is. At the shelter, poor Patches was depressed and wouldn't even make eye contact with visitors! He was matted and uncomfortable, and had shut down. However, when he entered a loving foster home, he transformed in a matter of hours. After a bath and haircut, and trip to the vet's, Patches was excited to go home and go in the house! He's done a nice job not having accidents and getting used to the family's routine. He has learned to stay in his crate for a few hours during the day while they're gone, and then lounge in the recliner when they're home. He loves to cuddle and will crawl right into your lap. Patches is getting along well with the other dog and cat, and he loves the child in the household. He is gentle and wants to please, and is quick to bond. He is a gem. Patches was relinquished to the shelter with a Cocker Spaniel. The story was that he had chased some sheep. So perhaps he is a livestock chaser. Otherwise, you can't find fault with this little guy. We are looking for a home that will continue spending lots of time with him, making him feel like the cherished best friend he deserves to be.
