He was found as a stray, so we don't know anything about his background, but someone must have cared about him at sometime because he is a very well behaved, well adjusted dog. He had terrible flea allergies that caused some hair loss on his back, and very bad ear infections, but he is being treated for both and is doing much better. When we took him into our program, the first thing we did was get him to the vet to have his ears cleaned and his nails cut, although it must have been very painful to have his ears cleaned, as they were quite bad. He was a champ through it all. He never protested, and even gave kisses when it was all done! His was a perfect gentleman at the groomer too. Everyone remarked on what a great boy he was, so easy to handle. He is doing really well at his foster home with the two resident Cockers, and the cat and birds too! He doesn't care for his crate, but he doesn't really need it because he is housetrained and has very good house manners. He is left alone during the day, free in the house, and has no problems whatsoever. He has also been exposed to kids as young as ten, and is very good with them. He likes to sleep on the floor next to his human foster brother's bed at night. There's no begging from Scout, and he's very much a gentleman! Scout knows basic commands such as “Sit”, “Down”, and “Stay” and walks well on leash. He is just the perfect Springer! Scout his neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He is ready to find his Forever Home!
