He was loved and well cared-for by one owner his whole life. Andy came into ESRA's care from Utah, as an owner relinquish, due to life's changes. Please don't judge him by his bad hair cut! Andy, whose true beauty may be hidden by a few years of over-indulgence, is truly a playful and loveable boy! He loves to play with his foster sister and lots of toys. Andy is not destructive, does not chew, and stays off the furniture. He is well-mannered and charming! You will fall in love with his sensitive and lovable demeanor. He is completely house trained, and can stay alone for long periods of time, although he much prefers your companionship, and loves to go for car rides! Andy is a big boy who loves to eat, and loves to be included in all family activities. He is good with children, as he is used to being around well-behaved young grandchildren. He knows basic commands, Sit, Down, Stay and Shake. He has learned how to uses a doggie door since being in foster care. He does pull on his leash when walking, and he is very strong. I'm assuming this might mellow out once he is comfortable with his new family and surroundings. Some refresher training could also be good. He would benefit from daily walks, but he is not a dog for the family that runs or jogs. Andy had knee surgeries in 2003 and 2005. We've gone to the dog park, and he had a great time! Andy loves to talk with that wonderful Springer Woo-Woo and cute little yodel! He is laid-back, and content to just be near you. Andy is neutered, microchipped, heartworm free, and up-to-date on all of his shots. Andy is a well-loved Springer who knows how to love you back.
