Her owner couldn't keep her due to he and his wife's traveling. Patch originally came from a breeder in Arizona that specializes in hunting dogs, and she truly has all the instincts for it. She is in search of game all the time, and is always on the move, nose to the ground. The energizer bunny can't hold a candle to this little lady. If a Springer with hunt qualities is what you're looking for, then don't miss the opportunity to at least come take a look at this sweet little girl. She will be fantastic if trained properly. Agility would be a good hobby to get into with this girl as well. She would be great! On our ride here from Indio, she was rather calm in the car. Her leash skills need improvement because she is so excited to go for a walk and find game. She does know Sit, is very food motivated, and I'm sure will learn quickly. I have never seen a dog eat food so fast in all my life, and am sure she could win a prize in a fast eating contest. According to her owner she was well on her way to being housetrained. Since yesterday afternoon she has done great, with no accidents yet. Some of our cats run from her and all she wants to do is play. Two have held their ground and she RUNS from them. I don't think she has ever seen one before or will hurt them. She was crated last night at bedtime in order to get her to settle down with only a few cries for the first minute or two. After that, she slept thru the night. If you are active and have a big yard, then this Fieldie would be right in her element as she definately needs a lot of exercise. Keep in mind she is still a puppy and full of beans!.
