Hunter was found as a stray, so we don't know how his life started, but he is a sweet, active, loving boy now. He is still very much a puppy, so his foster home is working on his housetraining, and on redirecting some of that excess energy in a positive direction. Hunter was quite “mouthy”, that infamous puppy nipping, but he is doing much better with this in his foster home once he was offered toys and chews as more appropriate chewing objects. He is learning about walking on a leash, as I think this is very new to him. Since walks are a daily ritual in his foster home, he will get used to this quickly. Hunter is crate trained, and learned how to use the doggie door in his foster home right away. He loves the two resident Cocker Spaniels, and ignores the cat and birds. Hunter does not get on the furniture, either. He went to PetSmart and loved everyone he met, adults and children alike. He is starved for attention, and seeks it often. Because of Hunter's young age, he will need a family willing to continue working with him, and training him, as he grows into adulthood. Hunter will receive his final vaccinations and be neutered January 3rd. He is also microchipped. Hunter will make an excellent addition to some lucky family's home, and be great a companion and friend!
