Joe is four years old has a wonderful disposition. He especially loves other dogs and older children. He is used to being around people for most of the day, but he is also comfortable with being left alone for several hours indoors. He is housetrained and stays out of trouble. Joe loves to spend time outdoors: running, playing fetch, or sunbathing on a patio. However, he has been raised indoors, not crate-trained, but rather free in the house, and would love to be an indoor companion. He is in excellent health and neutered, and current on all shots. He is a healthy weight of 62lbs., and has a stocky body type. He looks like a nice cross between bench-bred and field-bred as he has the bench body type but the mostly-white coloring of a field-bred Springer. At age two, Joe attended obedience classes and passed without hesitation. He does well on a leash, especially with a gentle-leader harness. Joe is an active dog who loves nothing more than a good brisk walk, every day if possible. If you say the word "walk" his head perks up and he's ready to go. He also enjoys swimming and can play a great game of fetch the stick. Joe prefers female doggie friends to male. He would be fine as the only dog or with a female dog. He has not been tested with cats. He does well with older children but we would rather not place him with very young children as he can be a bit possessive of his chew treats. He is easy going and loves to make new friends. Joe promises to add fun, companionship, and unconditional love to your life! Update: Joe is doing fabulously! He is doing well at the dog parks, playing well with male dogs, doing well with a cat, etc. We are really pleased with how he's responding to his socialization.
