This sweet boy was pulled by animal control for neglect when his owner was unable to care for him. He was shaved down, right before an Iowa winter, and had to wear silly little sweaters to keep him warm. A friend paid to spring him from the shelter and helped his owner care for him until she passed away. His world was turned upside down when he came into rescue. He lost his mom, and went from being the only dog to one of four. Through it all Gilly's wonderful personality has helped him deal with all that life has thrown at him. He is no longer the shy little dog that he was, now he's a confident Springer, ready to enjoy all that life has to offer. While he's not really playful with people (he'd rather you pet him), he loves to play chase and wrestle with other dogs. Gilly is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, heart worm/Lyme's negative, and recently had his teeth cleaned. As far as training goes, he is housetrained, crate trained, knows Sit, and is a great walking partner. Overall he has wonderful manners, but like all Springers he can get a little bouncy and mouthy when he's excited. What Gilly would like most in a Forever Home is a family that will take him for occasional walks and cuddle as much as possible.
