Okay, maybe I made up that last part, but it sounded so much more exciting than to say "My name is Sammie and I was dumped in a shelter when my owner decided she would rather raise another breed than to have me around." I'm six years old, gorgeous (that's the truth!), playful, loving, great with other dogs (except for puppies and small little yappy dogs), and I'm okay with kid's as long as they don't bat me over the head with anything! In fact, let's just say I'm okay with OLDER kids, who know better than to bat me over the head with anything! I'm also housetrained, love to swim and I'm really big on cuddling. Ok, here comes my only flaw, I'm not so good on a leash. So what's the big deal? I take a few classes and 'voila'! Can you say "heel"? I'm a really good girl, and don't make a mess or damage anything when I'm alone in the house. I know lots of commands, and I know a really good trick, too. I can sing (not bark) for my supper! How about that? I also prefer to be in bed with you at night to keep you warm, but will sleep in a doggy bed if you absolutely insist. So, what do you say?
