I came to ESRA when my family left to help with the Gulf Coast reconstruction and were unable to provide a place for me. I am a big, handsome, easy-going boy, with kind and gentle eyes. I need to lose about 3-5 lbs, so I will still be a big, tall boy when I am at my ideal weight. I am one big teddy bear. I love my humans and love to be with them. I guess you would call me a "Velcro" dog. I love to cuddle, but wait for permission before I join my people on furniture. I really want to please my people and am pretty much agreeable to what is asked of me. I know the basic commands and will show you how well I can shake! I am a mellow guy who gets along well with other dogs and with cats. I am respectful of my twelve year old foster brother, and I have no dominance issues. I don't counter surf. I ride well in the car, and I don't bark a lot. I need to work on leash walking. My foster mom says I need work on "off leash" walking too, but I come when I'm called....eventually!
