Maggie - Northfield, MN

Age: 3-1/2 years Gender: Female Color: Liver/White Weight: 46 lbs Variety: Bench/Show-bred Hellooooooo, I'm Maggie! Pardon my vocal greeting, but when I get excited I like to make a bunch of different sounds. It's just my way of expressing myself. Otherwise I'm pretty quiet. I'm a 3-1/2 years old, spayed, and AKC registered. I'd be great in a Jell-O commercial, as my very short tail is almost always wagging, which gives my rear a cute wiggle. I'm a pretty relaxed dog that loves to play with my foster family and their other dog. In fact, I get along great with dogs of all sizes, breeds, genders, and ages. I'm not much into toys, but I'm learning about tennis balls and stuffed animals with squeakers. I love to go for walks and runs in the dog park. Going to the park means going for a ride in the car. Sometimes this can make me a bit nervous, but I really don't mind. I am housetrained, and when I go outside, I go out on a leash with my foster family. They don't have a fenced yard, but they're starting to trust me a little more, and have allowed me to wander the yard without the leash lately. I can be trusted in the house alone if you need to go somewhere for a few hours, and I sleep soundly in my crate at night. My previous owners made a difficult decision when they gave me up. They were a good family, and felt bad because I was confined for a lot of hours while they were at school and work. I also need to make sure to eat right, as I have sensitive skin, but I've been adjusting to a mix of different dry foods. I don't have many bad habits, except I may try to jump on a couch or bed – they're just sooooo comfy. My foster dad works from home, so I get to relax with him during the day. When the kids come home from school, I get to wrestle and play with them. I love to get hugs, and cuddle with my foster mom. I'd love to meet you, and hope that we can become buddies soon!
