That's a good thing since his thick soft curly coat and supple body make him irresistible to cuddle! He adores being petted and held; he “melts” into the floor or your lap when given such attention. He enjoys being with his people but is not a Velcro dog. This happy-go-lucky guy is friendly to strangers and dogs but has not yet tested with cats or kids. He enjoys playing with his canine foster siblings, whether wrestling or playing tug of war. He also appreciates a good chew toy. He likes to ride in the car, is patient with grooming, and is quickly learning his commands, so far mastering Sit, Come and Down. He is very reliable on off-leash hikes in the woods. A mild-mannered pup, he is well behaved, house-trained and crate-trained. He does not pull on a leash, but does bob and weave. We expect Dexter to grow to be 50-55 pounds. Dexter has already made the long trek from Utah. Now that he's in New Mexico he'd prefer to stay here, but he'd be willing to travel some more for the perfect home.
