Age: 5 years Gender: Female Color: Black/White Weight: 43 lbs. Variety: Field-bred Katie is a very loving, young Springer who is patiently waiting to find her Forever Family. She has so much love to give, and is eager to share a "happy Springer welcome" to everyone that she meets! She is housetrained, crate-trained, minds well, and will play fetch until it is you who is ready to stop the game! She knows "Sit, Down, Load Up, Come and Potty." She is a quick and eager doggie student. She will do anything just to please you. She is starting to grasp the concept of "Stay," but still prefers to follow her foster mom from room to room in typical Springer fashion. Katie is active, healthy, spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She loves to ride in the car, go for walks, or just lie quietly at your feet. Katie is also a very watchful young dog, as she will let her foster mom and dad know if a stranger is near by gently barking. Katie seems to do very well with children, although she is not currently living with kids full-time (her former family had two kids in residence). She has done beautifully with her foster mom's 10-month-old grandchild on a recent visit. She is such a good girl!! Katie is finally starting to experience life's adventures after being somewhat deprived of it in the past. Daily, her wonderful foster family is introducing her to new sights and sounds. She just recently went on her first boat ride. While a bit apprehensive at first, she soon relaxed and realized that it was fun to have the wind blowing her ears back. She could possibly learn to love the water as well, but is still pretty timid about the idea of swimming. But all-in-all, Katie is having the time of her life. Katie would do best as an "only" dog as she would like to be the apple of her mom and/or dad's eye. She would love a backyard where she could run and play. She would do well with a single person, a couple without kids or a part of a family with kids who would include her as a full-fledged family member. All she needs is you. With you on Katie's side, she can start living her life to the fullest in her Forever Home. She is patiently waiting for you. Are you ready for some Springer love???
