My last family was extremely busy and just didn't have time to take care of me so I am looking for a new Forever Home – hopefully one with a large yard so I can sniff and “hunt” to my heart's content. I am a typical Springer who enjoys being with people of all ages and dearly love being cuddled by children. When I am outside I am always focused on anything that moves – birds in the trees, lizards in the grass, or a leaf blowing in the wind. I never catch anything, but it sure is fun pretending that I do! Foster Mom: Dusty is a calm, dignified gentleman with impeccable manners – both in the house and outside. He is house trained and knows basic commands such as Sit, Lie Down, and Stay. Dusty is very active and loves to go for walks. He tends to pull on the leash at first but when reminded to heel, he walks great the rest of the time. Dusty loves to ride in the car, visit new places and make new friends – he even enjoyed the trip to the vet's office, and greeted everyone who walked in the door! Dusty is a gentle soul with a true Springer heart that wants to please more than anything. Like most Springers, he needs a large yard to play in and would dearly love to have someone home with him most of the time. Dusty gets along very well with the resident dogs, but does not participate in their rough and tumble play. He absolutely loves children of all ages, and is extremely gentle with them. Dusty is up to date on all his shots, is microchipped, has been neutered, and has tested negative for heartworm.
