I will be adding this site to my favourites. I live in Ontario about 1hour north east of Toronto. Cardinals are not that plentiful in our area. We have a pair that always nest in the area so we get to see them fairly often. They do tend to stay all winter and since i feed the birds and the squirrels they come and get the sunflowers. I know when I went to Nashville, several years ago, I was amazed at how many cardinals there were and they were not shy at all. I loved it. These pictures should be all I need for a pick me up during the winter. Thank you

Awww, so lovely. Look at her with her crest up. I haven't seen a female cardinal for a very long time as I north of their range now, but this beautiful shot reminded me of why they were once my favourite. Thank you.

Oh, Susie! I missed when this was featured, but I see that at least two hundred others didn't! I just downloaded it. The colors and detail are wonderful. It reminds me of a Japanese screen painting--has an Oriental feel to it. Belated congratulations!

I have these in my yard and the male will sing all hours of the night to his sweetheart. I have never been able to capture anything as nice as this. I am in Florida, no snow here. That really brings out their color. Good Job! Thank You for sharing

The bird is framed so nicely and the colors of the Cardinal are enhanced by the background. This is the prettiest female Cardinal I've seen. What a great job you did getting this.
