I've got it good now, but I didn't always have it so good. My original owners had to give me up to someone who tried to find me a good home. She realized that YOUR home could only find me on this ESRA site, so here I am. In perfect health, fully house broken, and doggy door trained. Gotta admit though, I really hate dog crates, and I'll let you know it. I will stay off the furniture, so I hope makes the crate a little less important to you. I spent the last 3 months before graduating to ESRA living in a dog house outdoors because I just couldn't resist the cat food that was left inside. Some reward for a good appetite! I did have spats with the other dogs in the house, so that may have contributed to the problems as well. Who can say? I'm gentle indoors, but can be a house-a-fire outdoors. I run full-out for one to three miles most mornings, come home, eat breakfast, play a little ball sometimes (I'm not a serious ball player, but it can be fun at times), and generally lay around all day. I take food gently when fed treats by hand, understand sit stay and come, but could use a little work on it when I'm preoccupied. I am two years old, and in the prime of life, so working with you on basic obedience could be fun. I'm at that age where exercise is very important, and if I don't get it, it'll be hard on each of us.
