She is very active and will chase anything that flies. It's awesome to watch her spot something and then chase after it. She was picked up as a stray but her owners were contacted and decided to sign her over to the shelter because she is just too active a dog for them. It was a hard decision for them to make. ESRA decided to pull her to give her a better chance at finding the right home. In her foster home the resident dog is very fond of her and they play a lot when sheÂ's not chasing birds or butterflies. Gusty is intelligent and eager to please. She knows basic commands like sit, stay, heel, and rides well in the car. She loves to be outside but settles down in the house. She will not get on the furniture and will only take a treat when told it is okay. She is also housetrained. She is starting to be more affectionate as she is getting comfortable in her foster home. Her previous owners said she is fine with cats and children and she enjoys the company of other dogs and humans. She will need an active family and space to run with a secure fence. She was bred to do field trials but any activity would suit her. Older children would be best because of her activity level.
