Age: 5-6 years Gender: Male Color: Black/White Weight: 65 lbs. Variety: Field-bred Wow, what a busy place here at Springerpaw Ranch! More Springers than I have ever seen before. Mom and Dad must surely love all of us to take in so many. I consider myself one lucky boy that they could squeeze me in (and given my size, that's quite a squeeze)! Let's see, what can I tell you? I am a BIG boy, not fat, just big-boned. At first I was little scared when Dad tried to pet me. I cowered and rolled over, but I quickly learned that they love ALL of us very much and would never hurt us. After dinner, Mom and Dad sat in the room with me and I showed them all my cute tricks. I sat when told, then when Mom said "Shake" I sat up on my hind legs and gave her both paws (cute, huh?) I then went down when Dad said "Down" and proceeded to roll over to get my belly scratched, I quickly got up and proceeded to wiggle and dance all around. Mom and Dad will be taking me to the vet soon as I have a really nasty right ear - matted, full of scabs and lots of gooey stuff. I sat nicely, though, while Mom and Dad clipped and cleaned my ear and massaged some medication into it. I knew they were just trying to help me, and boy it felt better! For now, I am glad to be here, warm and safe. I look forward to getting a home of my own as do my other foster brothers and sisters. Makes me look 10 pounds thinner doesn't it? I am a super dog, so my mom and dad say. Have you ever seen a Springer set up on his hind legs for cookies - pretty cool, huh? I am one smart boy, not too mention handsome! My ears are coming along really well. I have had two ear flushings and will go for one more next week. I have a tear inside my ear which burst and caused all this icky stuff to drip down in my ear and infect it even more - yuck, I know, but with regular cleaning and vet care, I will be just fine.
