Age: 2 years Gender: Male Color: Liver/White Weight: 40 lbs. Variety: Field-bred Sonny came to us for committing a crime... he killed some chickens. Poor Sonny thought it was great! It was so much fun! And you really can't blame him, as he was running around loose and he IS a bird dog. So we will just make sure he is placed in a home with a fenced yard, with no pet birds and no nearby chickens. He loves people! He is very happy and friendly. He is incredibly tolerant with children, incredibly. Sonny likes everyone, even the vet. No cats! Sonny is not good with dogs, despite the owners thinking he would be. The owners had seen him be OK with some contact a while ago, but we have found that he definitely needs to be the only dog, and is not social with other dogs. Sonny is new to rescue, so we will be reporting on him more later. We can say that he is young and in excellent health, just getting neutered. He has a wonderfully soft coat. He is very sweet and outgoing. He loves to catch the frisbee and tennis ball and any other toys. He also loves to swim and play. Sonny needs a home with lots of attention. He has had the luxury of having Grandma home all the time, so we are thinking that going to a home where he is by himself, and the people are at work all day, would be hard for him. It would be best if there was someone home part of the time or plenty of time to play after work. Like any Springer, he is all about attention.
