Age: 8 years Gender: Male Color: Liver/White Weight: 60 lbs. Variety: Bench/Show-bred Bandit is the perfect example of why many people look for an adult dog. He doesn't dig, chew, or bark. He is completely housetrained and only gets on the furniture when asked. He is well-mannered when meeting other people. He knows all kinds of commands, from the basic Sit and Stay to Shake, Sit pretty, Go lay down, etc. He is well behaved and wonderful. Bandit also likes riding in the car, going to the groomers, going on walks, and frolicking off-leash. He does a good job of staying by you. He can pull on his leash, though, and that needs a little work. Bandit's prior owners mentioned that he can counter-surf and get into the trash, but we haven't seen it. He has not been crate trained. He shares his toys really well. He has a love for life and loves rolling in the grass, swimming, running, playing with pull toys, and chewing his rawhide bones. Everything is fun to him, and he has a very happy demeanor. His personality is so endearing. He loves to cuddle. He's just such a good boy. When Bandit first came into foster care, he had some health problems such as badly infected ears and eyes. Although he was in pain, he was such an adaptable happy camper. After his ears were treated, he became more joyful. (The health issues seem to be temporary, but the new family should be diligent about checking his ears.) Bandit is a dog who loves life and loves people. Bandit would do well in a home with another playful dog. He really likes his foster brother, Scooby the lab. They play all day long. No cats, please, as Bandit will chase them. Bandit has been around children and did well, although he has not been around very young children or babies. The most important thing about Bandit's new home is that he has people who will love him and pamper him the way he deserves to be. Bandit is a fantastic dog and deserves the best.
