He originally came from Fresno, where he was given up by his owner because he was "too much responsibility." He is housetrained, has a good appetite, and is good with other dogs (not sure about cats). He tends to be insecure in new situations, and considering all he has been through in his short life, that is understandable. With a lot of patience and care, we feel he will overcome his shyness. He does not like to be separated from his "human" and will easily scale a five foot fence to be with you, therefore it is imperative that his new home have a secure backyard with a minimum six foot fence. He loves to give doggy kisses and sometimes likes to "mouth" his human, a trait that will take some training to overcome. He also walks well on the leash, and does well in a crate when riding in a car, (however would prefer to sit next to you and put his head on your lap).
