Age:6 Years Gender: Neutered Male Color: Liver/White Weight: 45 lbs Variety: Bench/Show-Bred Louie is a six year boy that has been a dream foster dog. He is a true Springer - he's got the sad Spaniel eyes, lovely soft face, adores playing ball, and will woo woo from time to time. Louie is completely house trained; knows some basic obedience including sit, stay, and down; doesn't jump on the furniture; and he is very gentle about taking treats. He is a gentle soul whose main two demands are to play ball and to get some loving. He has the cutest trick when he releases the ball back to you - after fetching it, he will drop it at your feet, and he'll give it a little kick with his front paw to help scoot the ball closer to you. I would recommend that Louie go to a home that has a doggie companion to keep him company as he is used to having his sister around. Additionally, don't let his age fool you - he is quite the escape artist from time to time. Despite being a big boy, he can jump a 6 foot fence with enough motivation. Thankfully it appears that that motivation really is just to be with his people - he came right back to me when I called him. He also seems like he would do well off-leash, but we haven't tested him much on that yet as he still is getting used to being at our home. I really can't say enough good things about sweet Louie. He would be a great new addition to almost anyone's family. He is good with cats, dogs, kids, etc, and very fun to play ball with... did I mention he really, really likes to play ball? He was very good off-leash with me in the yard yesterday. And, he has a cute habit that I forgot to mention earlier - he loves to lay on the air conditioning vents. Smart boy!
