Album Info:

Age: 10 Years Gender: Neutered Male Color: Liver/White Weight: Variety: Field-Bred The song goes “He's too late to get his supper, Supper's over and dinner's a-cookin' old man Tucker just lays there a-lookin'.” We started singing that song when Tucker arrived at our home one evening early in April. He was found as a stray and held at the impound lot by the police department. Seeing what a sweet, mellow fellow he was; the officers called ESRA and soon after he came to live with us. We figure he is about 9-10 years old, neutered and in good health. Tucker was thin (the jokes about police and donuts do not apply to him), but we have managed to put a few pounds on him. He has a nice, silky coat and a youthful spring in his step. He is very sweet and mild mannered. He loves children; we think there might have been a little girl in his past, as he gets very excited when he sees one. We just have boys around here and he loves to patrol the yard when they play. Tucker walks nicely on a leash, which is great, as it appears it was a new experience for him. He is very quiet and calm in the house, loves to snuggle and readily crates when necessary. As much as we love Tucker, he does have some issues. His behaviors appear to be from lack of socialization and training. He does not respond well to verbal commands or cues, although he is getting better. He gets along with our dogs, but I don't think he knows how to play. He is a counter-surfer extraordinaire. Tucker would benefit from obedience training to encourage positive behavior and bonding with his new family. I am positive that Tucker will mature as a pet and friend in the right loving home. He loves to be outside with you. He does great in the kennel, with another dog. He doesn't like it so much alone. He did well in the crate, so long as he could see what was going on. He would be a great family dog. He would be a perfect dog for a senior or near-senior. He doesn't require much activity, short walks are fine with him. What he loves to do is to find a vantage point and keep an eye on every thing that is going on.
