Album Info:

Age: Senior Gender: Female Color: Black/White Weight: 51 lbs. Variety: Bench/Show-bred Abby is a beautiful senior who came to us because her human mother died and there was no one to take care of her. Abby has had a recent visit to the vet and has been brought up to date on all vaccinations. The vet says she is in good health for a senior dog. In 2001 she had a knee operation (ACL) on her left rear leg, and seems to have healed well. She gets up a little slow, but once she's up and ready to go, she walks with ease. When she was new to her foster home, she frightened easily, and when frightened, would breathe loud and hard. Once she learned she was in a safe, caring place, she does not frighten easily at all. She's adjusted to her foster home, and gets along fine our resident Springer Spaniel, Zeke. Abby is completely housetrained, familiar with the doggy door, and stays off furniture. She likes to go for daily walks and does not pull on the leash. The vet did mention that she should not get strenuous exercise in the Arizona heat. Abby definitely doesn't like being crated, and consequently enjoys napping or sleeping near her human family. She loves resting on a big old quilt. She's a lovely, quiet dog that is a little hard of hearing, but she hears well enough to announce when the doorbell rings or there's a knock on the door. She would do well with someone who is home all day.
