Album Info:

Age: 1 years Gender: Male Color: Black/White Variety: Bench/Show-Bred My name is Cosby...you can call me Cos for short. I came to ESRA after staying in a shelter since July. They took great care of me there, but I was pretty scared and kept to myself. My foster mom says that I have really come out of my shell since my arrival! There are so many new smells and I have 2 brothers now! No one knows for sure how old I am, but my foster mom thinks I am under 1 year old. Even though I am a puppy, I consider myself pretty mature in a lot of ways...I don't need to have your attention constantly...if you give me a bone, I am content for hours! I'll let you take it away too. Since I never had toys, I am still unsure of what to do with them. My foster mom and dad will throw a ball across the room and I guess they want me to chase it. I love going for walks to explore the neighborhood. Sometimes I get excited and want to run free, but for the most part I like to stay by my mom and dad. I don't really pull on the leash but I'm not used to it either so I could use a little help with that. I love everybody I meet and I get really excited and jump up on them. Mom says even though I'm not very big, not everyone loves dogs as much as she does so she's teaching me how to meet someone “appropriately”. That's a big word for “don't jump.” She's also watching me caref ully around adult dogs because she says I don't know how to “read” them yet. What do I know? I don't read! I just want to play! I like to ride in the car too so if you're a family on the go I'm your boy! At first I have to look out of the car windows but then I settle in and take a nap. Gotta get my ZZZZs when I can 'cuz I'm a growing boy! Well, speaking of naps, I'm getting pretty sleepy so I think I'll retire to my crate for some R&R. Update 28 NOV 06: Due to work schedules, Cosby has been placed in a new foster home where he continues to thrive. He loves playing with both his four-legged foster brother and sister Springers. Favorite games seem to be fetch and tag. And then there's the ‘Let's all pile on the bed next to mom' game. This is played with great enthusiasm and lots of ‘talking'. We continue to work on his basic commands. He seems to do quite well with “Sit”. “Off”, on the other hand, appears to be a bit more challenging for him. Please call and set up a date to meet this energetic and fun boy.
