Congratulations Dasher! Dasher is a beautiful field bred boy about a year old. He has a rather long coat that is velvety smooth. The white is brilliant, but he could use a grooming! He is healthy and sweet, with a very quiet temperament. He’s also a wiggle butt! Dasher had been living outside in a doghouse because his family had an allergic child. He's made the change to inside living very well. We walk him four times a day and have had no problems (except for one accident in the first thirty minutes.) He walks to the door when he needs to go out. He has had the run of the house since the second day and has been just wonderful. He follows us around, wants attention, and loves to curl all 65 lbs into your lap. He is very even tempered, gentle and quiet. He puts his head on your knee when he wants his tummy rubbed or head patted. He sleeps all night and only barks if you accidently close him in so he can't open the door. Dasher's a little timid around new things (like statues in the yard and flags on the grandkids fort) but with a little time is fine. He loves his foster brother and gets along well with other dogs. We're not sure about cats, we don’t one. He shares his water bowl, and his bed and even his toys without fuss. He will make a wonderful pet, will get along well with another dog and would love to have one who will play with him. Dasher walks well on a leash, but has very strong, powerful hind legs. We are beginning to work on basic commands and he will come and sit if coached, still working on stay. He did well in the car ride here, just fell asleep. He is very attentive and aware outside, and will point at birds. Dasher seems like a healthy boy, but we've scheduled a vet check just to make sure everything is up to date. Dasher is looking for his forever home, is willing to continue with his training, and is eager to share all his love!
