Album Info:

Age: 3 years Gender: Female Color: Liver/White Weight: 57 lbs. Variety: Field-Bred Not much is known about Maggie's past. She had been a stray that showed up at someone's house. She was suffering from a nasty case of mange, had terribly overgrown nails and recently had a litter of puppies. A kind hearted lady that does private rescues was called and she went to pick Maggie up. She had Maggie treated for the mange, gave Mags her first nail trimming and had her tested for heartworms, which fortunately was negative. She got Maggie well on her way to being better and contacted ESRA. Maggie has been with me for only a week and has already worked her way into my heart. These are some of the things I DO know about Maggie now. -She is housetrained and crate trained. -She has no food aggression. -She loves people. -She's good with other dogs. -She loves to ride in the car and is quite well behaved. -She's cautious when approaching something new but once she realizes it won't hurt her she's fine. -She loves her toys and chewies. -She is now spayed and current on her shots, microchipped and is on heartworm/flea preventative. Maggie's 'bad' points..there aren't many! -She's having to learn not to jump up on the door when left out by herself. She loves to be with people. -She's ok with cats but does tend to be a little over zealous when meeting them. I think she would do fine with a dog savvy cat but not one that wouldn't hold its ground. She will chase. -She likes to roll in anything she can find that's gross. What dog doesn't? Maggie is like a sponge. She is absorbing everything she's being taught. In just the time she's been with me she's learned not to jump on people, she's learned sit and down. She hadn't had any leash training and is doing beautifully with it now. She wants nothing more than to please me and just needs some guidance as to what is expected of her. Despite what she has been through in the past she loves life! It's so obvious when you watch her outside. She prances with her head held high. It's truly a beautiful sight! If you have questions I'm more than willing to answer them if I can. I'm learning more about her everyday.
