Album Info:

Age: 12 months Gender: Male Color: Liver/White Weight: 50 lbs. Variety: Field-Bred This beautiful young Springer is Buster! Buster is just a year old, so he is full of energy and enthusiasm, but also very loving. He really likes to give hugs. He'll put both paws on your shoulders, and give you a big old Springer hug. He walks quite well on a leash, when there isn't anything to bark at, and he is housetrained. He likes to cuddle, and he does very well with the two resident dogs in his foster home, although he bugs them a bit because he is always wanting to play. He's a young boy after all. Buster is very good with kids, and cats too. Buster does not seem to have had much socialization as a puppy, so his foster mom is working on exposing him to a lot of new experiences and making sure he gets a lot of exercise. He seems to not handle change very well, but we are hoping with some consistency in his life he will become more comfortable with new situations and circumstances. He will need patience in his new home to give him time to adjust and feel at home and safe. Buster is a fence climber, so he will need a tall privacy fence that does not allow him to climb, or a very watchful owner when he is outside. He is crate trained, and knows basic command such as “Sit”, “Come” and “Stay”. He will show interest in what's on the counter, but will get down when told, and no chewing on anything in the house. Buster is a young Springer with a lot of energy, and is ALWAYS on the go, so an active family would be perfect for him, and someone willing to continue his training. Buster is up to date on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, and neutered. He will make a wonderful family pet and companion. Update 16 JAN 2007: Buster has been in his foster home just over 2 weeks and is doing really well. He has only climbed the fence twice, and responds to correction in that area very well. His barking on the leash is also much improved, and he has calmed down considerably. His foster mom feels he will only continue to improve as he learns what is expected of him, has boundaries set, and has a routine. He really is a great young Springer!
