Album Info:

Age: 9 years Gender: Male Color: Liver/White Weight: 62 lbs. Variety: Bench/Show-bred Meet Frisky Frisco. When Frisco's owner became ill it was feared he would accidentally knock her down, so they took him to the shelter in Santa Clara. Concerned neighbors retrieved him and called ESRA, where Frisco was placed into foster care. He has had his ups and downs due to a severe ear infection, which is almost healed, and losing the only home he's known since he was eight weeks old. Frisco has had some obedience training knowing Sit, Stay (for awhile) and Down. He loves cookies and is gentle taking them. He is housetrained, and when left alone (tested up to five hours) in the house, is not destructive. He enjoys the yard, but not alone for long, and will bark to let you know he wants back inside. He enjoys car rides but will bark unless he's next to you. He's probably worried he's going to another shelter. Hopefully this will pass once he becomes secure in his new Forever Home. He is a vocal dog, and barks when he wants something like another cookie, and also if you leave him, but will soon quiet down. He gets along wonderfully with the resident Springer and Golden. Cats (we have five) are another story. He will chase them, but we honestly feel he won't hurt them. If the cats are still he will just smell them, but once they run, Frisco is after them. Overall, Frisco is a very loving dog. We feel he should be placed with a family where someone is home most of the time, or maybe a retired couple. He does well with children ten years old or older, but toddlers are unknown. A home without cats would probably be best. Another non-dominant dog would be fine, too. Frisco is a very strong dog for his age, with an energy level of a 6-7 year-old. If you want to start the New Year in a positive way, consider making Frisco a part of your “Loving” family, and make his life whole once again. The love you give him will be returned ten-fold. We promise you won't be sorry. Please have a preliminarily approved application on file before you inquire about Frisco. Update 23 JAN 07: Frisco no longer is chasing cats and now ignores them, even if they run. His ear infection, which turned out to be foxtails, is almost completely healed.
