Gavialis Gangeticus. Critically Endangered. Estimated wild population in 2005/06: 200 or less. Length: 15 to 20 feet. Between 30 and 50 eggs (average of 37) are deposited into a hole before it is covered over carefully. The size of the eggs is the largest for any crocodilian species. Found in Northern India and neighboring countries.
