Travis from the battle of the Alamo), and my friends just call me Travis. I'm a Texan through and through, and came to ESRA from Travis County. I was picked up as a stray, and no one ever came to get me. I ended up all dirty and matted in a shelter. Now though, I'm a tall and handsome fella, and a healthy one too. At first, they thought I was almost deaf, but then we found out it was only an inner ear infection and now I can hear just like all the other cowpokes. When I'm outside, my favorite things are running and swimming. I also love to play ball. A large space for me to play is a must and a place to swim would be greatly appreciated. Another dog to play with would be great too! While I like to work and play hard, I'm a real lover boy too. There's nothing I like better than cuddling and hanging out in the house. My foster mom says I think I'm a big lap dog. I'm housetrained, come when I'm called, love to ride in the car, sit for my treats, stay off the furniture, and I'm learning to walk on a lead (though I'd rather run than walk). And I know better than to jump on people or do any of that counter surfing stuff. I'm a very friendly and happy sort, and love to be near my people. Snuggling is my specialty. I get along with kids, other dogs, and I'm fine with cats once Miss Kitty and I get comfortable with each other. Because I love to run and play, I prefer kids big enough to play with me.
