Best wishes from all of us at ESRA! Floyd was rescued from a high kill shelter in GA the night before he was to be put to sleep. He's about 7 months old and is total sweet heart. Floyd gets along with other dogs, ignores the cats in the vets office and has been good with the children as young as 1 year old that he's met. He's very shy on first introductions to new people and places, but once he settles in he's a rambunctious puppy. Since he is still a puppy, he will chew things if left to entertain himself. He is crate trained and housetrained and has not had a single accident in his foster home. He is fine to be handled all over and does not mind his food or toys or bones to be picked up or taken away while he's chewing on them. this boy doesn't have a mean bone in his body and would love a family that will take him to positive reinforcement training classes. Floyd sleeps in his crate at night and sleeps through the night as long as he gets proper exercise. He is not very high energy, but he does really enjoy romping around the yard with his friends. Floyd also has a full tail and wags it and play bows to the people he likes most to entice them to play with him. He does jump up on people once he gets to know them and we are working with him on that training. Floyd has tested Heartworm negative, but has not had his shots or neutering yet as he was running a low grade fever after his time in the shelter. He will likely have the rest of his vetting this week. Hurry and get your application in for this great boy!
