He loves his people, gets along with dogs, cats, children, adults, and well anyone he meets, really! Mokie loves to snuggle and will go out of his way to find you and be close. Mokie is a total couch potato inside, but outside is graceful, and loves to romp and play. When Mokie first arrived in foster care he was not able to be on his own. He was so nervous his people were not coming back that he was destructive. Now Mokie is able to spend short periods of time in a strong crate. If he has a choice however, he would much rather ride along with you in the car, in the front seat, looking out the window. Mokie is up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and neutered. Mokie walks like a dream on a leash, and will come back when called to his people if he is off leash. Mokie sleeps on a comfy dog bed at the foot of the bed but would also love to sleep on the bed if someone would let him. Mokie would do well in a home with even young, or special needs adults or children. He has a very high tolerance for even the heartiest of young kids. His two-legged foster sister uses him as a pillow when watching TV, and the younger, two-legged, sixteen-month-old, is a hearty boy that can be very rough with his pets. Mokie takes this in stride! Mokie has gone through basic obedience and will Sit and Down, but would prefer not to Stay, as he wants to follow his people everywhere they go. Mokie would not do well in a home that is gone for many hours a day, unless he was enrolled in doggie day care, but would be ok with someone that is home more often and gone for short periods of time.
