Album Info:
Age: 6 months Gender: Male Color: Liver/White Weight: 28 lbs. Variety: Field-bred My name is Dusty, and I'm just an exuberant, energetic, happy-go-lucky puppy. I'm only about six months old, but I've already had some very scary experiences. I was found wandering around the streets of LA, very scared and lonely. I was taken to a shelter, but no one came to claim me. I just don't understand this, since I am just the cutest little guy around. I am now doing well in foster care. My foster mom tells me I wasn't housetrained when I arrived, and she didn't seem too pleased about that. But I have since shown her how smart I am: I quickly got the drift of her housetraining rules and I've hardly had an accident since that first day. She thinks I'm about the smartest puppy around, and I couldn't agree more. I can't wait to go to puppy school and show off how smart I am. I get along very well with my foster dog sisters, frolicking around and wrestling. But even at my young age, my foster mom thinks I'm acting like the top dog in the household, showing alpha tendencies, as she so nicely puts it. So I'd love to be in a household where I have a sister or brother who I can boss around. Despite my bossiness, I get along very well with the kitties in my foster home, showing respectful curiosity. I ride very well in the car, settling down nicely. I'm not very fond of that crate they put me in, even though they explained nicely it was my “den”; I tolerated it for their sakes, but I was very thankful when they put it away. I love to take walks and run and play. I have a zillion toys here, and I always manage to find other great things to chew and shred, like leashes, sandals, newspapers and hats. I am a puppy, after all. I just love our neighbor's five-year-old child. Every time I see him, I give him big hugs and smother him from head to toe with kisses. He seems to like that. I would do well with children who are as exuberant as I am. But, while I love to run around and play, I also like my quiet times. If I'm given enough daily exercise, I am content to sleep on my bed while my foster mother works. And I love to sit in my foster dad's lap and watch TV and snooze with him after a long day of playing. If you're a family that has the time, patience, love and willingness to train me, I will give you many years of unlimited love and devotion.
