Thankfully, she has been well cared for on most of her “travels”. She's happy that the road has led her to ESRA and eagerly awaits her Forever Home. Madison, also known as Maddie, is an easy to please girl who has adapted well to her foster family. She is respectful of the elderly small dog in the home and has proved herself to be a capable and willing learner of the new house rules. She waits to be invited to play with toys and to get chewies out of the toy basket. She walks well on a leash and is great at Coming, Sitting and Shaking hands. She is still working on her Wait and Stay skills. Dog obedience or agility training would be fun for her, and she would be quite receptive. Maddie has some of the charming traits of the youthful: she is exuberantly delighted to greet you at the door when you come home, she is curious about every little thing, and she is effusively affectionate. On the other hand, Madison has some of the allure of a more seasoned companion. She is willing to sit patiently while being groomed, she is able to lie quietly at your feet when you are reading, and she knows to look to her human for direction when she is unsure. Maddie has a broad, sweet face with deep brown eyes. She has the characteristic grin of a happy Springer. She loves her dry kibble, and does not beg at the table. She was a counter inspector, but since she's found out that she's not allowed to put her paws on the countertop, she has developed a real talent for balancing and walking on her hind legs, an act made ever so much cuter by the lolling tongue. Madison is looking for a Forever Family that will provide her human and/or canine companionship throughout the day.
