Charlie is a vivacious, alert and active senior Springer. He's very social and loves all he meets. He is a real beauty and a true charmer with all the endearing Springer traits! Yes, he's a "velcro" boy! Charlie was taken to the city shelter to be euthanized simply because of his age. Fortunately, the shelter refused the request and called ESRA immediately. They saw a healthy, strong and exuberant Springer that had several good years left. Thank goodness! Charlie needs daily walks and would love a yard to run in where he can chase birds and squirrels throughout the day. Oh, but this affectionate fella is a real lover, too. His favorite pasttime is to sprawl across your lap and be brushed endlessly. Rub his ears and you've got a friend for life. Charlie's abandonment in his senior years by his owner has taken its toll on him. Therefore, he does not like to be left alone. A very patient and loving home where someone is present a great deal of the time would really put a huge smile on this beautiful boy's face. Another doggie companion may do him good, although not necessary. He prefers not to be crated. We suspect Charlie may chase the cats in the home. Charlie is healthy, current on shots, neutered and on heartworm prevention.
