They may look very pretty there, but they are probably stressed out of their minds by being taken out of their natural element. They may be tiny creatures, but their suffering is just as great as ours, when they are brought to the brink of death.

An examination of this picture full size will show that there limbs are moving - an indication of their efforts to try and swim away, which, of course, they cannot do, as they are no longer in water. They will also be suffering respiratory distress.

afraid I must agree with Kathryn here , you should not kill or harm in any way living creatures to take a photo, I can only hope u returned them to the sea before they all died,and I am sure some if not all of them did, if not shame on you !!for thinking about the fact that they are living creatures! Just for a photo op, what next, dog fighting? We should think about these things when staging a photo. Sorry do not think it should have been a feature!

Poor blind little creatures struggling in their death throes! To take the life of a fish for food is bad enough, but you do not eat starfish. They should have been returned to the sea immediately! If you came across a burning building, you would not alert the fire brigade, until you have got all the shots you wanted, I suppose!
