I'm a happy, energetic and charming Springer boy who can't get enough hugs, kisses and cuddles . . . hence, the nickname! They keep talking about how much progress I've made since coming to ESRA several months ago. When I arrived, I was suffering from mange and allergies, I was emaciated and I was terribly frightened! But as you can see, I am strong and healthy now and have really settled in to family life. It's all such a new and amazing experience for me and I'm more grateful than anyone will ever know. I'm about 2 years old, but I guess still act very much like a puppy. I've been working really hard on my manners but my new family will need to help me perfect them. I've almost mastered housetraining. And, I don't really mind being in the crate, either. I look at it as my "quiet" time. My new family also needs to be willing to manage my allergies so I don't ever have to itch and scratch and lose my hair again. That was so embarrassing! But, I think I've blossomed into quite a "looker", don't you? More importantly, my foster mom says I'm even more beautiful on the inside! Oh yeah, my foster mom also promised me she'd make sure I was adopted as an only dog. I get along great with everyone, but she says I'm "special" and I deserve to soak up every ounce of love that's handed out! I'm counting on it.
