I'm a sweet and gentle girl who is looking to live out my golden years with a family I can call my own, to depend on, and give me the TLC I want and deserve. My foster family says I am a "Velcro dog" because I have to have everyone pet and rub me, and I am your shadow. I don't bark, but I do make a funny and quite cute noise when I need to go outside. Because I am older, and my previous owner had some difficulty caring for me, I do have previous health problems. I'm lucky that my foster family is taking care of these problems, and getting me ready to go to my new home. You see, when I came to ESRA I was anemic and was covered in fleas; my beautiful blanket of brown was matted and dirty. I also have a little arthritis (can you older folks relate to me). I'm happier now, and much healthier too! I'm deaf, but read hand signals well. I am living in my foster home with two other "Old Girl" Springers (one of whom is deaf also) and we all get along really well. I'm untested with cats but I'd probably like them also. I met some children under the ages of 10, and wagged my tail at them. From my foster Mom: Rosie Marie has been horribly neglected, but that has not dulled her enthusiasm for life, nor her will to please. She is a delight to have in our home and should probably go to someone who has a quieter lifestyle, as she is a golden girl looking for a gentle owner with a kind soul. Also, she does not know how to climb stairs.
