My name is Sadie, and I am a beautiful 6 month old puppy. I had a little bit of a rough start in life. I was rescued from a puppy mill when I was 3 months old, and then ESRA discovered that I had a grade 6/6 continuous heart murmur, an enlarged heart and pulmonary vessels, as well as Patent Ductus Arteriosis. Doesn't that sound scary? I was a little scared at first too, but then I learned that just a simple surgery was needed to make me into a healthy English Springer Spaniel. I had my surgery on January 25th, and I feel wonderful. I am in the process of getting my shots now and will be spayed in the beginning of April. I am now living life to the fullest at my foster home. I play with everyone I meet and am a quick learner. I absolutely love to play fetch, and am getting better at tug-a-war. I am really good at 'sit' and I figured out the doggy door at my foster home very quickly. I got to run off leash last weekend, and I proved what a good girl I am and how I would make someone a great hiking companion - I can even drink from a water bottle. Pretty amazing huh? I am great with kids and love being around other dogs. I really am not a big fan of crates, and would much prefer to sleep with you - I promise to cuddle and keep you warm at night. I think that I am doing really well with this whole 'potty training' thing, but I occasionally will make a mistake....... I am just a puppy after all. My foster mom says that I jump too much, but I just think that she isn't used to Springer Spaniels who are so skilled at walking on two legs.
