I was born in July of 2004 and my foster parents say I am a sweetie and pretty shy. I'm experiencing many great things for the first time, like walking on the leash and being in a safe, warm house. Although I have to say, I don't like wood or tile floors--they make me slip and feel insecure. My vet says that I have gum disease and I am losing some teeth. Thank goodness my foster parents got me when they did because my vet said I was starving. Don't worry though, I am not too much trouble. My foster parents soften my dry food in a little warm water and give me a little extra food. My foster mom is also helping me keep my mouth and teeth clean in the hopes that my gums will heal. I really need soft food and clean teeth so that my mouth won't hurt. I love quiet time to snuggle or lie quietly in my crate. I am trying to be more outgoing but sometimes I get scared and run to my crate. If I get scared I call for my foster parents. Despite all this, I've never gotten angry, I'm really just a little lovable baby. I don't really like to be alone. I might call for you to come get me for a while but if you don't because its bedtime or something I calm down. I'll develop more confidence if you'll help me. My foster parents say they are very proud of me because I have never had an accident in the house. When I go outside to do my business I like to chase the birds and run a few laps around the yard but then it's back in the nice warm house for a nap and maybe a chew toy-what a life! My foster parents have cats and I don't mind at all. They also have a human daughter who is seven and we get along just great! I don’t jump up on her.
