Age: 11 months Gender: Male Color: Black/White Weight: 33 lbs. Variety: Bench/Show-bred Please meet Bobby! He is a very handsome and precious pup. He is full of enthusiasm, excitement and curiosity. Nothing dampens his spirit! He loves life! His favorite game to play is with the water hose, but playing tug of war with his foster sister is a close second! When Bobby was really young, his bounding enthusiasm got him into trouble. He dashed out of the house, and was hit by a car. The most unfortunate part of his story is that he was not given any Veterinary care for his injuries. Bobby came to ESRA care about a month ago. In that month Bobby has gone through a lot of changes. Many of you have been watching his progress on our Special Needs page. His left front leg suffered irreparable nerve damage when he was hit by the car and the leg was removed on August 9th. Thanks to the generosity of many wonderful people; his surgery has almost been paid for. The great news is that Bobby has adjusted extremely well to being a Tri-pod. He has great balance, and is a high energy dog! He is not looking for your sympathy. He can do everything any other dog can do, except maybe dig holes in your garden. Bobby is looking for a family that will give him a tremendous amount of love, discipline and training. He needs to have his mind stimulated with obedience training and maybe even some agility or special training. He is a dog that shouldn't just languish in someone's back yard! He needs to have an important job. He would be a great ambassador or therapy dog. He needs to have other dog(s) in the home to keep his energy directed in positive directions. He snorkels in his water dish, snores when he sleeps, escapes from crates, loves to cuddle, gets along with all other dogs and cats that are dog savvy. He has been neutered, micro-chipped and is heart worm free. Because Bobby "bounces" when he moves, a home with a small child might not be desirable. Bobby is ready to start interviewing potential adopters.
