Sarah is definitely field-bred! She loves to explore through the woods, nose to the ground, pulling you along. She adores attention and would crawl up into your lap if you'd let her. She's not been treated well physically, but you'd never know it by her friendly personality. Her coat is thin, her skin is dry and her physique is a bit too slender. But we expect good food and some TLC to make a big difference pretty quickly. She is protective of her pups but tolerant of our two Springer girls and the other dogs who've visited. We think she'll be dog friendly once her pups have moved on. Update 05OCT06: From Sarah's new foster mom: What a difference two weeks makes! Sarah has put on weight and her coat is looking shiny & healthy. While she is still mellow for a Springer, she has become much more playful and animated, and is very affectionate. She gets along well with her foster sister Springer. She has beautiful house manners—no barking, chewing or counter-surfing. She's getting better at walking on leash and loves to explore the outdoors. Sarah is home during the day with my Springer while I'm at work and seem to do just fine. She's going to make someone a very special companion!
