He does LOVE my roommate Adam, but his heart belongs to me. From day one, he really took to me, and the foster parents who had him before said he really took to the WOMAN in that house too. He would be fine in a home with a man too, as he loves everyone he meets. Although he is energetic and loves to run and play, he is happiest when he can be curled up, resting his head in your lap! One look into those sweet, sad puppy dog eyes and you melt! Buddy is looking for his new BEST FRIEND. He's well behaved when left alone at home during the day, but would prefer a stay at home Mom. And be ready for your shadow! He wants to be with you every step of the way to make sure he doesn't miss out on any of the fun! He is AWESOME with the foster homes cat, Jake. By awesome, I mean Buddy totally ignores the cat! Unless the cat swipes his tail in Buddy's face, Buddy won't even acknowledge him! Jake even put his face in Buddy's food bowl, while Buddy was eating, no less, and sniffed around for a little while. Buddy never even broke his eat/chew/eat/eat/chew rhythm!! Buddy has bonded with the foster mom's Cavalier king Charles Spaniel, Marley. He lets her jump all over him and they play tug of war with her toys and she even bites his ears, and he has never once snapped at her or even growled in a mean way. Buddy is amazing with the foster mom's seven year old nephew Caleb! Caleb will say, "let's race, Buddy!" and they will both take off, fast as they can. Buddy is a GREAT dog who needs lots of room and LOTS OF LOVE! He would do best in a home that has time to take him on long walks or jogs, trips to a dog park to play, or just a good long frisbee game in the back yard.
