Mc Guire - San Clemente, CA

Age: 5-1/2 years Gender: Male Color: Liver/White Weight: 65 lbs. Variety: Field-bred This is McGuire, aka "Mac". He was originally adopted from a shelter and after three years his family decided to move to a place where he couldn't go. ESRA was contacted, and even though he is a notable mix, he was taken in. He lived in Arizona and was seen on our website by a family in California who adopted him. Once he got home he chased the cats and was returned. McGuire is a very energetic boy. To meet him you would think he is around two instead of his five and a half years. He has a beautiful reddish coat sporting a full tale. It's believed that he is mixed with Border Collie because of his intelligence and maybe some Golden Retriever. He loves all people but, because of his energetic enthusiasm, his new family should have children over ten years old. Cats or other small animals wouldn't be good, either. He is housetrained, won't get on the furniture, and gently takes treats. Where he is staying he is learning other things like Sit and Come. He loves to run and, with coaching, would make a great running partner. His foster parents in Arizona said he loved to play with their females. I guess you could say he's a "Ladies Man". He is a dominant male so a home without other dogs or maybe a submissive female would be best. McGuire says, "I've been waiting a long time for a new Forever Family. Could it be yours?"
