A very rare capture. Now I am wondering what your profession is, you wrote "captured at work". when I saw your photo, I was singing automatically "der Wiedehopf, der Wiedehopf ..." a verse in a German children's song, I learned as a little girl. To be sure a Hoopoe is a Wiedehopf, I looked it up in the dictionary!! "hopfen" is a verb meaning "to jump". Does this bird move on the ground by jumping? This is such an interesting entry!
