Age: 2-1/2 years Gender: Male Color: Liver/White Weight: 63 lbs. Variety: Bench/Show-bred Tracker is a happy, goofy, sweet Springer who bonds quickly. He's all Springer in some ways. He likes to chase squirrels and birds, loves to be near his owners, loves to cuddle, enjoys playing with other dogs, etc. He loves rawhide bones and toys. Unfortunately, his prey drive extends to cats, so no cats for Tracker! He will do very well with other dogs, though, and would enjoy a buddy. His personality shows in his body language. Tracker shows doting eyes, a goofy grin, gives sometimes drooly kisses, and loves to sit and be petted. He really enjoys being near you. He will sleep with you if you let him! When he's outside, running in the yard, his expression seems to say he is the happiest dog in the world. Tracker knows some basic commands and minds pretty well. He is very quiet and doesn't bark unless he's chasing birds. He is a great listener unless he's chasing. One nice thing about Tracker is that he is so active outdoors, loving all the sights and smells and running around. Then, when you take him inside, he settles down and naps near you, or just relaxes in a corner of the room. He is well-behaved inside, especially for his young age. He also really likes to ride in the car. Tracker was brought to the shelter after his elderly owner was hospitalized and then went into a nursing home. Tracker was trapped in the house for a bit, so he is not a fan of being in the house by himself. When Tracker is left alone, he likes to be in the fenced yard. There he is right at home and happy. He will be a bit nervous at first in new situations. He likes to meet people and make friends of all ages. He also becomes an instant friend. When I took him to the vet to get neutered, he was happy and relaxed on the way home. When we got out of the car at his foster mom's house, he let out an incredible moan and sprinted to the door. He danced with happiness to see her. He had only known her for three days at this point. He will be a loyal and devoted companion to someone. Just remember... NO CATS for Tracker!
