Album Info:
Age: 18 months Gender: Female Color: Liver/White Weight: 31 lbs. Variety: Bench/Show-bred Meet Ms. Minnie Minerva (aka MM). Minnie came from the Merced shelter where she was taken after being hit by a car. As a result of the injury, the radial nerves in her left front leg were so badly damaged she was unable to use the leg. Two weeks after she came into foster care, the leg was amputated. MM's recovery has been amazing and she is as agile and quick as a Springer with four legs. Minnie is a truly remarkable little girl with a sweet and gentle disposition. She loves to cuddle and always has lots of doggie kisses to share. She is smart and a fast learner, always comes when she's called, knows some commands, will sit/stay for a treat, is housetrained (never had an accident in the house), and if left in the house alone, does not chew or destroy things. She is also very alert and a good "watch dog." She loves to retrieve and will return the toy to you. Her passion in life though is chasing the squirrels in the backyard. MM gets along with other dogs (not sure about cats). I suspect with her gentle, loving nature that she would be great with children. She does tend to be shy when meeting someone for the first time, but it doesn't take long for her to overcome her shyness. MM is looking for a home where there are children to play with, one where she will be able to cuddle and give lots of doggie kisses, sleep on the bed, and be loved. As her foster mom, it has been a tough decision to make, giving her up for adoption. But I believe there is a special family who will take her into their hearts and love her like I do and appreciate her for the wonderful little Springer she is.
