Album Info:
June 22, 2011 I received a call at the Avian and Exotics vet clinic, where I was volunteering, from a young man about 10 a.m. Tuesday morning. He told me his parents had a bird (he did not know what kind it was, but it was green) and that his parents had forgotten and left it, along with their Budgie, outside overnight. He told me sometime during the night, "something" had gotten into the cage and had damaged the birds wing. He wanted to know what he could do. Of course I told him to bring it to the clinic immediately. He said he had no money, but that he felt very bad for the bird...he thought its wing was broken. The family only found a partial wing of the Budgie, the rest was gone. I again begged him to bring the bird in to the clinic....borrow the money if you have to, but get that bird in now...please. He told me he would see what he could do, and then call me back. I could not stop thinking about this poor little soul, so I called him back several times. I finally told him I would pay for whatever it costs, because if he didn't get the bird in, she would die. He told me he would have to check with his parents. Late that afternoon, he called and told me he would bring the bird in first thing (Wed) morning. He finally showed up around 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 23rd and the folllowing pictures are what transpired.

Kudos for your kindness. I have two Red Lored Amazons (like this one.) The older one, Nikki, hatched in 1955 or '56.
